Keeping your body cool and comfortable can be challenging on hot, humid summer days. Plus, to add to temperatures rising, summer is also rife with allergic reactions from insect stings to pollen.

If you are in need of some summertime respite, lean on our most supporting range to help you feel your most comfortable. From sleeping through the night to soothing sun-exposed skin, uncover our expert tips to help you stay cool and rejuvenated all season long.

1. Target your pulse points

The key to cooling down in hot temperatures is targeting your body’s pulse points. Pulse points are all areas where you can feel your pulse, as your blood vessels are close to the surface of your skin. As they are so close, you can cool off your body temperature by getting the area in contact with a cold compress.

While your neck and wrists are the first pulse points in mind, don’t neglect your other pressure points: the insides of your elbows and knees, tops of your feet, insides if your ankle, inner thighs, your temple and near your ears.

2. Create a mind clearing environment

Temperature and humidity changes can trigger the membranes inside your nose to swell, causing uncomfortable congestion.

Relieve your senses with our Breathe Pure Essential Oil Blend, blended with the finest Eucalyptus, Peppermint and Tea Tree oils to ease stuffiness and provide comfort throughout the day.

To create an enveloping and refreshing ambience at home, add 2-3 drops onto your home diffuser and inhale deeply.

3. Soothe sun exposure

Though it may seem counterintuitive, a hot bath or shower is more effective than a cold shower in regulating your core temperature: hot water warms the skin, prompting a natural cooling of the entire body.

If your skin has been exposed to sun, take shower at a temperature that does not further irritate your skin, and enhance the experience with our after-sun saviour: Support Lavender & Peppermint Bath & Shower Oil.

With its anti-inflammatory properties, Lavender works to help soothe. Peppermint boasts a cooling effect on skin, which helps to ease irritation and inflammation. Together, our Lavender & Peppermint is a powerfully alleviating blend, and perfect to calm your body after a long day under direct sunlight.

4. Help ease Summer allergies

According to NHS data, 1 in 4 people in the UK suffer from some sort of seasonal allergy.

If you are susceptible to high levels of pollen in the summertime, don’t be without our Support Breathe blend: our clean, refreshing aroma includes Tea Tree, known for many years to be anti-bacterial and anti-viral, with Eucalyptus, recognised to help ease breathing. Each essential oil works in synergy to ease breathing and soothe the senses, perfect for those who suffer from allergies but still want to get outdoors and enjoy summer to the fullest.

Begin your summer days with a decongesting bath or shower — use our Support Breathe Bath & Shower Oil in the morning to open nasal passages and provide an immediate sense of relief and comfort for the day ahead.

Whilst outdoors and amongst nature, carry one of our roller balls with you to ease breathing and refresh your senses. Apply directly on your sensory points - your wrists, temples and front of the neck - to supercharge the aroma-therapeutic experience.
